Benefits of using Joomla

Strong out of the box features

Joomla provides many features out of the box that other services require third party plugins to use.

Highly scalable

Joomla grows with your needs and provides excellent features for large sites.

Security

With built-in security features, and fewer add-ins required to run the site securely, Joomla minimizes vulnerabilities.

Challenges of using Joomla

Learning curve

Joomla is less intuitive than WordPress with menu-heavy navigation that less technical users may find overwhelming.

Maintenance

Joomla requires more planning and testing of major updates than it’s competitors, making maintaining the site more taxing.

Coding needed

For some of the more advanced features of sites, HTML, PHP, and CSS knowledge is required.

It is built on a model–view–controller web application framework that can be used independently of the CMS.
